The Science in Intended Curriculum and Framework Documents in Selected Countries
Holec, Jakub ; Dvořák, Dominik (advisor) ; Knecht, Petr (referee) ; Žák, Vojtěch (referee)
The main aim of this study is to enrich the discourse on developing an intended form of the science curriculum in different country contexts. A multi-case study research design uses methods of content and comparative analysis to find answers to the research questions. The empirical part of the thesis consists of single case studies of England, Finland, Scotland and the United States of America containing contexts of the current curriculum development, description and interpretation of analysed structural and content phenomena in the curriculum of primary (ISCED 1) and secondary education (ISCED 2). Based on the single case studies of curricula, a comparative multi-case study is conducted, which focuses on the identification and interpretation of common and different features in the structure and content of the curricula to be compared. The studied documents can be divided into competency- oriented and subject-oriented curricula, nevertheless, each curriculum contains elements of both approaches. The subject content of the contemporary curricula seems to be more elaborated or at least more detailed than in documents of the previous decade. It is possible that even in the field of curriculum development there is political influence of neoconservative forces or an intellectual influence of so-called...

Jakub Růžička Techn(olog)ická revoluce ve vzdělávání: zvyklosti a postoje žáků devátých tříd ZŠ ke studiu a samostudiu uvnitř reformujícího se školství Bakalářská práce Abstract The impossibility of mastering the entire existing knowledge of humankind, which means entire knowledge that has been produced up to know, by independent and individual human being, and also the development and massive expansion of computer technologies and the Internet, imply the necessity of rethinking current educational practices. Despite that, implementing new means of education, progressive didactic methods and crossing the boundaries of study and self-study, is being obstructed by institutional conventional educational system and related methods. Studentské hnutí v Chile: Původ, vývoj a vliv
Beranová, Marie ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (referee)
Latin America cannot be conceived without acknowledging the social movements, which are often the engines of political and social changes on the continent. Until recently, Chile appeared to be the country where the social order was perceived as the most accomplished in relation to its politically unstable neighbouring countries, as well as in relation to its proper history. The 2011 student movement, which is the most significant social movement within the last twenty years of the Chilean history, can be completely understood only from a broader perspective of the 20th century. In order to understand the recent changes, the thesis deals with the phenomenon of the Chilean student movement studying its origins, historical trajectory and impact. The aim of the thesis is to explore the continuities and changes of the student movement and question why the 2011 protests are treated as a separate collective action in relation to the cycles of contention experienced in the 20th century.
The Right to Education
NESVAČILOVÁ, Iva
The thesis deals with the right to education, it's historical conception up to the current suggested reform of the tertiary education. The main aim of the thesis is to map attitudes of specialists and students to education and the educational reform. In the thesis I applied my mind to the rate of awareness of fees at universities in the Ceske Budejovice region. The bachelor thesis is divided in two parts. The one is theoretical and the second is practical. The basic terms which are connected with education are defined in the theoretical part. The thesis concerns with the development of education from the first compulsory education, which was implemented by a Habsburk monarch Marie Terezie in 1774, up to a current educational system in the Czech republic. The information about an educational system in the field of preschool education, elementary education, secondary education, higher technical education and tertiary education are described here. The current reform of tertiary education where the Project of tertiary education reform is involved is also the part. The main target of the project is to propose an ideal system of the tertiary education management and financing. The legislative confirmation of a right to education is the essential part of the thesis. In the end of the work I focus on the current state of the reform and it's continuous changes. The last updated information concerned with the problem are from the month of April, this year. The practical part of the work describes the specification of a target, hypothesis, a personal research and a data evaluation. Results of a research after a good concordance calculation Chí ? kvadrát showed that according to students' and specialists' opinions a reform of a tertiary education will influence the right to education. A school fee and an enrolment fee will also influence the right to education mainly by a reduction of university students. It will hurt mainly students from poors families. Results also showed that from the whole number of students which were asked 13% of them prolong their studies. The bachelor's thesis can be used as a study or information material for students to clarify information connected with the school system in the Czech republic. A reform of an university education system is not finished in this time.
